Experience the spirit of the Giro in Bulgaria

Giro d'Italia Ride Like a Pro brings the atmosphere of the world's most beautiful race to amateur cyclists. In 2027 the experience comes to Bulgaria: two days of riding from the historic city of Veliko Tarnovo, through rolling countryside, river gorges and the foothills of the Balkan Mountains.

Whether you ride for the challenge, the scenery or the company, you will share the road with riders from across Europe and beyond, supported by a fully organised event weekend.

Veliko Tarnovo: the historic heart of Bulgaria

Perched above the meanders of the Yantra River, Veliko Tarnovo was the capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire. Its old town climbs the hillsides in tiers of stone houses, crowned by the Tsarevets Fortress. Around the city, quiet roads wind through villages, monasteries and the dramatic landscapes of central Bulgaria – ideal cycling country.
